Our History
Our adventure into this crazy life of dogs and puppies all started back in 2010. When we bought our first dog as a couple. It was a beautiful Great Dane puppy. Everyone thought we was crazy to take on the challenge of owning a Dane while living in a one-bedroom apartment in St Louis. We may have lost our couch and heard her walk into some furniture from time to time, but we enjoyed every moment of it. After learning that a lot of their health issues could potentially be resolved by making sure their diet is perfect for the breed and after seeing this to be true through multiple breeders we got to know. They taught us what they did to make the breed live a healthy and mobile for over 10-15 years in age.
After learning this, we decided to start breeding Great Danes and help spread the news on their real health concerns. We apparently produced some great ones. We had people drive 6 hours for a second Dane from us. Those little giant puppies will always be missed, but we had little ones of our own a few years after we started breeding that was allergic to the breed. That is about when we lost everything we owned in a house fire. This is when we decided to relocate our Danes to family. So, they can run their hearts out in the fields.
It was not long before we started talking about how she missing having all the puppies around. That is how we got started breeding the miniature goldendoodle mix. This worked out perfect since it filled the part in my heart that was missing with the Danes, and it surprisingly help fill the time when we are not homeschooling. Since we started breeding them and homeschooling my daughter. She has not only expressed interest in how nature works, but as surpassed the "that is gross" stage to assist in the birth of a few puppies. So not only have they brought us all joy. It has been a great way to teach my kids lessons of life and responsibilities. It is hard for the kiddos to see their hard work leave but they are glad to see the new ones come into the world, watch them grow and teach them how to escape.
